“I always try to add context whenever I photograph wildlife, as for me, exotic habitats are often just as enchanting as the
creatures themselves. When heavy snow started to fall just as I was stepping ashore on a remote island in Antarctica,
I knew my moment had come to capture something atmospheric. I located a penguin path and settled down in the
snow. As my toes began to go numb and snow built up on my camera and lens, I kept waiting for my moment. At last, a
penguin hurried past and I captured this photo as heavy snowflakes drifted down around it.”
