The Lone Tulip
“Every year around April, the tulips in the Netherlands start to bloom. Even for someone who lives there, this time is
beautiful. Every year, I enjoy photographing the tulips. The beautiful thing about it is that you can always find new and
interesting things: new compositions, different weather conditions, new perspectives and even new types of tulip, as
every year new tulips enter the markets. Some barely look like originals! The tulip in this photo is a classical one. I saw it
alone in the path, and I isolated it with a very long focal length to get a great compression and background blur.”
