Puffins
“Puffins are one of my favourite birds to photograph – they’re lovable little characters and full of charm.
Capturing a nice portrait is not hard, but I wanted to try to capture an image that also conveyed some of their
character. Selecting the 70-200mm G Master lens allowed me to keep enough distance so as not to disturb their
behaviour, but resulted in a more intimate perspective than if I had used a longer lens. By sitting quietly and being
patient, eventually I was able to capture the tender moment I had been hoping for.”
